Guitarist, Shawn Lane, was born on March 21, 1963 in Memphis, Tennessee and
past away on September 26, 2003.
Shawn Lane learned piano by listening to classical and jazz music very
early.
Always in need to cross musical styles, he often deplored the lack of
open-mindedness from the mainstream audience and major labels.
Powers of Ten, his first solo album after two years of work in his home
studio, was released in 1992 and warmly welcomed.
Shawn Lane cooperated numerous times with talented artists and with a real
friend: Jonas Hellborg. Shawn Lane was undoubtedly one of the fastest
guitarists ever, but from our point of view he was more than anything, a
composer able to write and play soul-shaking music.
We truly miss him. |
