Biography: |
Fretless guitar master Tim Donahue has been playing on fretless guitars for a long time. Logically he now endorses the Vigier Surfreter Guitar.
After graduating from the famous Berklee School of Music (Steve Vai, John Petrucci etc...) in 1982, Tim designed and built his own fretless guitar and eventually started touring Japan, where he scored regularly TV shows and commercials. He also built a fretless harp guitar and was broadcasted playing on NHK.
In 2004, the album “Madmen and Sinners” was released, featuring James Labrie (Dream Theater) on vocals and Mike Mangini (Extreme, Steve Vai) on drums.
Tim has been using a surfreter that was slightly modified with a shortened scale and a Dimarzio X2N.
